Cyrus & Pervin Todiwala have made a point of saluting the great bard Robert Burns with an annual supper at Cafe Spice Namaste matching all manner of haggis with superb whiskies on 27th January 2023. We would like to thank our friends James MacSween of world-renowned MacSween Haggis and Alan Wardrop of Glengoyne and Pipe Major of the Black Watch, Chick Mackie for their help and support to make this such a huge success. We also managed to raise a substantial amount for the charity The Soldiers Charity to help look after our brave servicemen and women. Thank you to everyone

(18th February 2022) Exactly one year ago this month, Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala began the painful process of emptying the old Victorian magistrate’s court in East London that had served as the home of Café Spice Namaste´, their acclaimed Indian restaurant, for a quarter of a century. Besides taking with them a lifetime of menus and memories – including the recipe for a dish chef-owner Cyrus created for Her Majesty The Queen – the Todiwalas were determined to save as much as they could of the restaurant’s original furnishings, earmarking these for reuse when they rebuilt the family business elsewhere.
