(18th February 2022) Exactly one year ago this month, Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala began the painful process of emptying the old Victorian magistrate’s court in East London that had served as the home of Café Spice Namaste´, their acclaimed Indian restaurant, for a quarter of a century. A completely sold out Khaadraas (‘Greedy Pigs’) Supper Club celebrating Asian cuisines marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year at our new home in Royal Albert Wharf. The Year of the Water Tiger must bode well for us, given our impressive location by the Thames! Cyrus and Pervin hosted an enthusiastic room happy to tuck into a 4-course feast inspired by Hakka and Fujian cuisines.
